OpenShot Video Editor is a free, open-source video editor for Linux licensed under the GPL version 3.0. Easily add sub-titles, transitions, and effects, and then export your film to DVD, YouTube, Vimeo, Xbox 360, and many other common formats.
To install OpenShot video editor open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonoomph/openshot-edge
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install openshot openshot-doc
If you already have OpenShot installed using the PPA OpenShot will be updated to the latest version when running a system update.
When installed you can find OpenShot under Applications -> Sound & Video -> OpenShot Video Editor.
